Siver After high school and prior to embarking on his legal education path, Chris studied at Camosun College in the Applied Communication Program. Chris then worked in broadcast, cablecast and corporate television production. While attending to his undergraduate and then legal studies, Chris served as a Student Border Services Officer for the CBSA. Chris graduated with an L.L.B. from the University of Victoria in 2007. He articled with Mulroney Siver Law and continues to work at the firm as an associate lawyer. Chris has a general civil litigation practice at Mulroney Siver Law. Chris’ practice involves resolving disputes for both his corporate and individual clients. His dispute resolution work includes continuous negotiation on behalf of his clients and representing them in various venues ranging from administrative bodies to the courts. When Chris is not at work, he can be found running or cycling around the Capital Region. Chris is a runner, triathlete and swimmer. He has completed multiple marathons and regularly competes in triathlons in all distances up to the Half-Ironman length. Chris has always been and remains an active volunteer. Currently he is serving on the executive of the Kinsmen Club of Victoria, which raises money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Kinsmen Foundation, the Hal Rogers Bursary and the Community’s Greatest Needs. Mulroney Michael Mulroney rejoined the firm as an associate in the summer of 2015, after having worked two summers with Mulroney & Company when he was still in law school. After graduation he articled and worked as an associate with a boutique tax firm in Vancouver, but could not resist the opportunity to live and work in his hometown of Victoria. (and to work with his father(-editor’s comment.)) Michael graduated from University of Victoria’s Peter B. Gustavson School of Business in 2008 on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor of Commerce and from McGill University’s Faculty of Law in 2014 with a joint BCL/LLB (bachelors in common law and civil law). He completed his final semester of law school on exchange at the University of British Columbia. Michael speaks fluent French, intermediate German and basic Italian. While completing his commerce degree, he spent a year in Austria, which included an exchange semester at Johannes Kepler University in Linz and an internship at the Andritz AG Global Head Office in Graz. At McGill, he also elected to take some of his law courses in French. Michael has been active in federal, provincial and student politics since he was in high school. He has volunteered in federal and BC provincial election campaigns since 2000, as well as for the 2008 Obama-Biden campaign in New Hampshire. He also served as a director at large of the University of Victoria Students’ Society, as a member of the executives of the UVic Commerce Students’ Society, two terms as the Vice-President Finance of the McGill Law Students’ Society, and as treasurer for an Electoral District Association in the newly-created Vancouver Granville federal riding. Tenta Ryan holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and recently completed his degree in Law at the University of Victoria. Ryan joined Mulroney Siver Law as an Articled Student in the summer of 2019. Ryan underwent several co op work placements during his time as a law student. He spent a winter in Whitehorse working as a legal research intern for the Yukon Department of Justice. He would later spend his final semester as a law student at the British Columbia Employment Standards Branch as an Employment Standards Officer. In this role Ryan conducted investigations and issued Determinations regarding complaints filed under the Employment Standards Act. She obtained her BA in Linguistics from the University of Victoria in 2005, and later obtained her Legal Assistant Diploma from Sprott Shaw College in 2015. Jen’s background has largely been in the entertainment business. Previously, she worked for many years at the box office at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in various capacities, and still occasionally fills in when needed. From there, she worked with Intrepid Theatre to launch Ticket Rocket, a community box office. While working with Intrepid Theatre, Jen took over the coordination of rentals for their venues, the Metro Studio and Intrepid Theatre Club. Jen also served as the Box Office Manager for the Victoria Fringe Festival for over 10 years. Also a writer and performer, Jen has long been involved with the popular Atomic Vaudeville cabarets and played a central role in the now-retired Derwin Blanshard’s Extremely Classy Sunday Evening Programme. In 2010, Jen’s first full-length production, Cakewalk, played to sold-out houses at Intrepid Theatre’s UnoFest.
